Position

Salary

  • Up to £90.00 per day

Job Schedule

  • Full-time or part-time, flexible daily availability depending on your needs

Location

  • Evesham, UK

Responsibilities

  • Getting the classroom ready for lessons and clearing away afterwards so as to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Assisting Teachers in preparing the lesson materials and school equipment
  • Recording and reporting children’s progress to the Teacher
  • Helping children stay focused during class hours
  • Supervising group activities, sports events and school outings
  • Helping Teachers manage student behaviour
  • Helping Teachers improving children’s core skills, for example reading, writing or providing 1:1 care
  • Looking after children who are unwell or upset
  • Providing a healthy, engaging and safe learning environment for children

Requirements

  • Ability to guide and support children (ages of 5-11)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and articulately
  • Inquisitive towards children, good relationship building
  • Ability to create an encouraging learning environment for children
  • Active listening skills
  • Empathetic, understanding, encouraging and sensitivity towards children and their needs
  • Ability to carry out tasks involving a computer or hand-device
  • Resilient, ability to respond calmly and constructively when under stress
  • Adaptable and flexible working attitude
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or equivalent (at least 40 days in the last 5 years)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
  • Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or similar
  • Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education or similar
  • T Level in Education and Early Years or similar
