The University of La Verne has announced they will be accepting applications from international students for its undergraduate scholarship programmes.
The University of La Verne is a private not-for-profit university located in La Verne, California, United States, about 35 miles east of Los Angeles.
Founded in 1891, the university is composed of the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the LaFetra College of Education, the Cástulo de la Rocha College of Health and Community Well-Being, and the College of Law and Public Service, seven regional campuses throughout Southern California, and robust online offerings. Scholastic opportunities abound, thanks to more than 50 undergraduate programs, more than 20 master’s degrees, five doctorates, and six credential programs.
Across all of the colleges, La Verne’s approximately 6,000 traditional age and adult learners help make the federally-designated Hispanic-Serving Institution one of the most diverse universities in the nation. Nearly half of the traditional undergraduates are first-generation students – the first in their immediate families to attend college. More than 70 percent of University of La Verne students receive some form of financial aid.
The University of La Verne offers competitive merit scholarships to all international undergraduate applicants. There is no separate application process as all applicants are considered upon review of a completed and timely submitted application. Financial aid is not available for international students.
American students and permanent residents living abroad are eligible for merit scholarships, ranging from $3,000 to $30,000 per year, and need-based financial aid. Students will be notified of merit scholarships in their admission letter. A complete financial package typically follows three weeks after an admission decision.
International Students that are not U.S. citizens may qualify for an International Student Scholarship. There are competitive merit scholarships are open to all first-year applicants. In addition, there are scholarships available specifically for international transfer students.
