Responsibilities
- Manage a large team of 100 operatives across 10 production lines, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and production schedules.
- Oversee shift operations, including troubleshooting production issues, coordinating with maintenance teams, and optimizing efficiency.
- Train and mentor staff to maintain high performance levels and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and logistics, to ensure seamless production processes.
- Uphold strict hygiene and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food manufacturing, preferably in a chilled food production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a large team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Flexibility to work 5 days on either an early or late shift, with 2 non-consecutive days off.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
