Norway Bi Presidential Fully Funded Scholarship at The Norwegian Business School- 2024/2025

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 Norway BI Presidential Scholarship, specifically for Norwegians and international students interested in pursuing a postgraduate program at the Norwegian Business School.

These are designed to recognize and support individuals with outstanding academic achievements that are admitted to any MSc program at campus Oslo or campus Bergen.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must meet the following:

  • Applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of ‘A’ on the ECTS scale or the equivalent top-level grade on international grade scales to be considered.
  • Students in the 3rd year of the Sivøk programme are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants with Norwegian citizenship or international citizenship from EU/EEA/Switzerland.
  • Citizens of countries from outside the EU/EEA who are residents of Norway may be eligible, depending on their residency status. Please see list on this webpage to determine eligibility. If you fall in this category, include documentation of residency with your scholarship application letter.
  • International applicants (all citizenships) who moved to Norway for their bachelor studies and will complete a bachelor’s degree in Norway (full 180 ECTS) in spring of year of application.
  • International applicants with citizenship from outside the EU/EEA must not have a break in studies between the completion of their bachelor’s degree and the commencement of their master’s degree.
  • Candidates admitted to a Master of Science degree programme at campus Oslo or campus Bergen, with the exception of the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing.

Note:

International applicants with citizenship from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland who are not residents of Norway are not eligible for this scholarship.

Benefits of the Scholarship

The scholarship will provide funding for the entire standard program duration, provided that the scholarship recipient maintains a consistently strong academic record and demonstrates exemplary behavior.

Norwegian and International Students who are residents of Norway: 

  1. cover full tuition fees for each semester, for up to two years, if the student achieves the academic progression requirements.

SivøkStudents

  1. cover full tuition fees for each semester, for up to two years, if the student achieves the academic progression requirements.

International Students

  1. Covers full Tuition fee.
  2. Stipend for each semester
  3. Living Expenses

Selection Criteria

The competition for scholarships is great each year. The scholarship will be award to:

  • Applicants who have been admitted to a Master of Science programme and have applied as instructed will be considered.
  • Scholarship applications will be considered only if the offer of admission has been accepted.
  • BI reserves the right to award scholarships according to institutional priorities which many include prioritizing specific master’s programmes, diversity and gender distribution, or selected partner schools of BI.
  • All candidates will be assessed according to the ECTS scale. Applicants with international bachelor’s degrees will have their grades converted to the ECTS scale.
  • Academic achievements, GMAT/GRE/CAT scores, extracurricular achievements, and special personal achievementsmay influence the awards.

NOTE

  • Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, not on financial need.
  • Candidates who are awarded the BI Presidential Scholarship must be prepared to:
  1. Be BI Ambassadors
  2. acting as spokespeople
  3. assisting in recruitment efforts
  4. promoting a good study environment.

Scholarship recipients will be informed about responsibilities during the academic year.

How to Apply for the Scholarship

Applicants should apply for the scholarship when applying for admission to full-time or executive studies via the admission application portal.Applications for scholarship are not accepted by email, with the exception of 3rd year Sivøk applicants.The scholarship application will only be considered if a complete application for admission has been submitted and the offer of admission is accepted.
