A -Domestic Housekeeper
Duties and Responsibilities
Below are the duties/responsibilities of the Domestic Housekeeper
- Ensure that all areas of the Care Home are cleaned to a high standard in compliance with the specific cleaning guidelines and schedules and that they effectively meet the individuals and home’s needs.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of personal information, including people’s right to privacy, dignity, and choice.
- Comply with all statutory and legal requirements which are relevant such as Health & Safety, COSHH, fire safety, all aspects of the Care Standards Act
- Maintain a safe environment throughout the home
- Ensure that all equipment used is in full, safe working order and immediately report any faults to the Home Management team.
- Ensure all areas of the home are supplied with adequate housekeeping items and inform the manager of any shortages.
- Always be alert and use your own initiative, spot clean any spillages as they occur.
- Be an active and helpful member of the team, contribute to meetings, attend training sessions, and ensure that the Care Home is a friendly and supportive working environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate a high personalised standard of Nursing care which meets the individuals needs and the high standards expected at Orchard Care Homes.
- To always ensure individuals are treated with respect and dignity and that individual’s rights to privacy, independence and choice are met.
- You will be a team player who will lead, supervise, support and develop the care team.
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as will you be closely liaising with external professionals, individuals and relatives.
