About the role

This position requires a compassionate and empathetic individual with strong interpersonal skills. Health Care Assistants often work closely with nurses and other healthcare team members to contribute to the overall patient care plan.

Responsibilities

Assisting service users with washing/bathing, dressing and maintaining personal appearance
To help service users with mobility difficulties or other physical disabilities, including incontinence.
To help in the use of aids and other personal equipment; assisting with the preparation of meals, drinks and snacks when necessary
Provide assistance with toileting and changing, incontinence pads, clothes and/or bedding.
Provide assistance with other tasks of personal daily living that they cannot manage and provide general support as part of a caring team
Assist the management of medication or administer where necessary and appropriate, and monitoring health-related conditions such as dietary & fluid intake
To maintain excellent communication with the service users as well as management team and ability to report to the relevant team and health care professionals as necessary
Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain good and accurate record keeping.
