About the role

The selected candidate will be a creative, self-motivated individual with a keen visual sense and passion for good design. The designer will work with multi-disciplinary teams, which will involve observing, listening, researching and brainstorming.

Responsibilities

Each person is required to support the mission of the Group. To enhance to overall quality of life of the brands
Ability to create high quality designs for multiple pieces per projects.
Demonstrate the ability to lead a project from conception to print.
Ability to create high quality designs for mail-out pieces.
Ability to create high quality designs for Goldstarr businesses.
Confer with supervisor and clients in developing materials for projects.
Confer with supervisor concerning designs for print media.
Demonstrate a strong background in various media outlets.
Manage brand consistency
Translate strategic objectives into design elements
Working knowledge of composition, components and concepts.
Ability to generate new and original ideas within the parameters of stated objectives
Excellent internal/external customer relations.
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to make subjective decisions regarding subject matter and projects
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Mac OS and production skills.
All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to work well under pressure, multitask and meet strict deadlines.
Ability to work well with all levels of staff and the general public
Must possess good customer service skills.
Must have a working knowledge of and MAC operating systems, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Suites and Avid/Final Cut Pro software.
Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, or related field
Three to five (3-5) years of experience working in a creative atmosphere
Experience working with printing presses is preferred Required Training
(0 – 6 months)
Must be able to produce a recent portfolio. Licenses, Certifications
