Duties and Responsibilities

Below are the duties/responsibilities of the Accountant
1. Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
3. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
3. Prepare financial statements, reports, and schedules for review by senior management.
4. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
5. Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
6. Conduct regular financial audits to identify and rectify discrepancies.
7. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
8. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
9. Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial analysis and insights.
10. Stay up-to-date with accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements and Skills

Below are the qualifications and skills needed
1. Educational qualification: OND, HND, or B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
3. Possession of the ICAN qualification is an additional advantage.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
5. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
